Swimmers go the distance at County Championships Long Distance events

County 1500m Junior Champion Tom Adams!
County Junior Runner-Up Chloe Jones in the 800m Freestyle!
15 PBs, 5 MQTs, 8 Age Group Medals, 1 Gold Junior Championship Medal and 1 Silver Junior Championship Medal Achieved!
To round off the last weekend of competition for the 2016 County Championships was the boy’s 1500m and the girl’s 800m events. All of the swimmers swam extremely well but the two most notable performances came from Tom Adams and Chloe Jones who were on dazzling form. Tom won his age group and took the junior championship title bring home two gold medals! Chloe smashed her personal best times to finish second in her age groups and brought home a junior championship silver medals and an age group silver medal, which was fantastic news.
Age group medals were won by Joseph Lund, Benjamin Beedell, Bethany Eagle-Brown, Chloe Jones, Alexandra Cooper, Jessie Spooner & Emily McCann who all put in incredible performances.
Midland Qualifying Times were achieved by Tom Adams, Benjamin Beedell, Chloe Jones, Emily McCann & Alexandra Cooper.
Congratulations to all of the swimmers that competed at Counties, you should all be extremely proud of their achievements. Thank you also to our Head Coach Lynn Chapman and her assistants and to everyone who helped during the championships - coaches, parents, swimmers, and officials!
