Congratulations to Our New Champions Tom Adams (1500m) & Chloe Jones (800m)
New Championship Record for Chloe Jones in the 800m Freestyle!
2 Championship Records, 35 PBs & 19 CQTs Achieved!
The last events of
our Club Championships was the two long distance events which were swam on
Sunday, 22 girls swam 800m freestyle and 10 boys swam the
1500m freestyle.
Both events were fiercely contested with Chloe Jones giving a stunning performance to take the girls 800m event in a new championship time of 9.23.81. She also set a new junior record too.
Tom Adams was runner up last year in the open event but was junior champion - he takes both titles this year!
Congratulations to Isabel Spinley who took the girls senior title and to Chris Pithey who took the boys (nice to see him back in the water competing).
Some of our swimmers put in some excellent performances and posted some huge PBs. There were just too many to name everyone as you can see by the results - so congratulations if you set a new PB.
Congratulations to Anita Wong & Jake Jungmann they both achieved their first County Qualifying Time at these events!
Well done to Lorna McGill for swimming this event for the very first time!
