Deepings Swimming Club's young swimmers produced another excellent performance for the club at the 19th Fenland Open Meet in Whittlesey. The club fielded a team comprising young swimmers with competitive experience and a number of first-timers. Our young swimmers swam magnificently across the board. For a good few of the young swimmers, this was their first competition and their determination and dedication paid off, as they performed superbly against more seasoned competition

By the end of the competition, they had posted 19 Golds, 11 Silvers, 9 Bronze Medals, an amazing 75 personal best times and 18 CQTs between them.

Star performers for Deepings were Anita Wong (13) & Emily Catherall (16) who won five events in their age groups. And Jake Jungmann who won four events.

Another star performer was William Kong, he appeared to be on fire in the pool taking 26 seconds off his 100m IM time & 15 seconds off his 100m Freestyle to win two golds in the pool.
