Cracking start to 2016 Club Champs

Club Champs got underway on the 19th June with the 400m Freestyle, followed by the 400m IM on Sunday 26th.Whilst the two days were thoroughly competitive, what was really noticeable was the improvement our swimmers have made. Our coaches work hard with our swimmers in the hope they make improvements and achieve their full potential. We are thrilled to report there were some great PBs achieved and some skilful swims with some nice streamlining and underwater work particularly in the 400m IM and there were no disqualifications - well done swimmers!
There were a number of new county championship qualification times achieved and some very competitive tussles for positions.
Once again it was fantastic to see so many swimmers from the 13 & 14 years age groups taking part. It's a shame some more younger swimmers were not confident enough to enter these longer distance events as we do have a lot of young talented swimmers. Hopefully they have entered the main events. If so, we wish you luck!
