Grantham Swim Club is delighted to present the Grand Prix Series 2026, hosted at the excellent Grantham Meres Leisure Centre across four rounds from January through July. Licensed at Level 3 under Swim England regulations, this exciting series is designed especially for 8–12 year olds, offering a unique opportunity for young swimmers to develop their skills across all four strokes and the demanding 200m events. The Grand Prix will see competitors race in a structured programme of events, including 50m sprints, 100m and 200m challenges, and the Individual Medley, with each swim contributing to a cumulative points system. Across all four rounds, swimmers will earn points for every race, with the top six boys and girls in each age group (9, 10, 11, and 12 years) recognised at the conclusion of the series. This format ensures that consistency, versatility, and determination are rewarded just as much as speed. All events will be run under Swim England Technical Rules, with mixed-age seeded heats and full electronic timing with scoreboard display. Warm-ups will commence at 16:00 for each round, ensuring swimmers are fully prepared for their races. The series is cardless, with results published online within 24 hours of each round, allowing swimmers and coaches to track progress throughout the season. With an emphasis on participation, development, and competitive spirit, the Grand Prix provides a fantastic platform for young swimmers to gain valuable race experience in a professional environment. Spectators are warmly welcomed, with affordable entry for families, and the support of officials and volunteers will ensure the smooth running of each round.
