Welcome to Deepings swimming club

Deepings Swimming Club was founded in 1976 and has grown into one of Lincolnshire’s most respected community sports organisations. From its earliest days, the club has provided opportunities for swimmers of all ages and abilities, from those taking their first strokes to athletes competing at county, regional, and national level. Over the decades, the club has celebrated countless successes in the pool, but its proudest achievement has always been its role as a welcoming, family-friendly club at the heart of the community. Generations of families have been part of Deepings, with parents, children, and even grandparents sharing in the journey—whether as swimmers, volunteers, coaches, or supporters.

When the closure of Deepings Leisure Centre in 2020 threatened its future, the club showed remarkable resilience. Training was relocated to neighbouring pools, and the Deepings “family” pulled together, ensuring that the club not only survived but continued to thrive. That spirit of togetherness remains one of our greatest strengths.

Today, Deepings Swimming Club is a registered charity, committed to making swimming accessible, inclusive, and sustainable for generations to come. Guided by volunteers and supported by the community, we continue to inspire a love of swimming, nurture talent, and promote health and wellbeing both in and out of the water. Above all, we remain a friendly, supportive club where every swimmer—whatever their age, background, or ambition—can feel at home.
