Last year Kings Lynn Warriors and Downham & District Swimming Clubs merged to set up the new West Norfolk Swimming Club. On Sunday they held their first Spring Open Meet and a team of twenty five Deepings swimmer aged between 8 and 15 year olds attended. What a fantastic day it was for Deepings swimmers, this 'open' meet gave our youngsters the chance to support and encourage one another, which paid dividends as the team finished second to Dereham Swimming Club for the Top Visiting Club Award.

There were a large number of personal best times produced by the team and our swimmers collected a huge number of the trophies on the day. Swimmers achieved a total of 8 first places, 15 second places, 10 third places, 5 fourth places, 3 fifth places & 12 sixth place awards.
