A FULL HOUSE FOR SAMARA MCKNIGHT AFTER WINNING THE 400M IM!
TWO AWARDS FOR CHRIS BARRETT!
ONE AWARD FOR BOTH JORDAN TEMPLER AND ELISHA PENMAN TOO!
Just a handful of swimmers decided to take that the opportunity to compete at the West Suffolk Licensed Open Meet over the weekend. With the Midlands BAGCAT Championships closing date looming, this meet became very important to those swimmers, and was perhaps their last chances to qualify for the Midlands or improve on times already achieved. I’m pleased to say that every swimmer walked away from the meet with either an award or personal best time - three PBs being achieved at this open meet.
Samara Mcknight started the weekend well by winning the 400m IM in her age group. She picked up an award for 2nd place in the heats of the 200m IM and finally in the heats of the 200m ‘fly she picked up 3rd place giving her a Full House - 1st, 2nd & 3rd! She also managed to PB in her 200m Butterfly event.
Chris Barrett swam well picking up two awards in the 400m Freestyle & 200m Backstroke events where he also managed to achieve a PB.
Jordan Templer picked up a 2nd place in his 100m Backstroke event.
Elisha Penman received a 3rd place for swim in the 400m Freestyle.
Kelda McKnight set a personal best time in the heats of the 400m Freestyle.
