This year we are hoping to get as many girls from Deepings Swimming Club as we can to get involved with the Race For Life to help raise money for Cancer Research. A group of us did it last year, and it was great fun :)

The Race we are running/walking is on Tuesday 29th June at 7.30pm at Ferry Meadows, Peterborough. It is 5k.

The deposit to enter this race is £12.99, which goes to Cancer Research. If you are interested in taking part, please come and speak to Grace Lamsdale or Emma Catterall. Mums are welcome to come to join us too. The more the merrier!

Emma and I ran together the year before last and it was great fun. It felt like an amazing achievement when we crossed the line together. Therefore we decided last year that getting more people involved would be a good idea and we together as a club raised a lot of money for this charity which, is very close to us and we are sure is close to others too.

We hope many of you will want to enter and enjoy doing this great event with us.

By the way, we have already had a word with some of the girls in the changing rooms and we have come up with the idea of running in our swimming costumes and shorts for a laugh! That is of course if it is a nice day like it was last year!
