5 Swimmers make finals: -
Thomas LANE 200m Breaststroke

A few Deepings Swimmers braved the snow to compete the City of Norwich Easter Long Course Meet which was held over 3 days. After competing at the counties short course pool switching to Norwich’s long course pool proved to be a challenge to our swimmers but once they got used to swimming back in a 50m pool they produced some excellent swims.
I understand that everyone were all on the edge of our seats during the 200m Freestyle, where Marcus Cook narrowly missed his 200m Freestyle national time. He went on to make one final an achieved 3 MQTs
Chris Barrett had an excellent competition by achieving 4 MQTs and by making two finals.
Tom Lane also made the final of the 200m Breaststroke his excellent heat time also meant that he finished 3rd in the Open Event.
Daniel Luff’s freestyle time was good enough to make the 100m Freestyle B final where he was only 0.17off his midland time.
I believe Kelda McKnight was swimming long course for the very first time, she produced an outstanding swim in the 200m Freestyle where she took over 14 seconds off her current PB.
Elisha Penman was also swimming long course for the very first time produced some excellent swim she achieved 10 new long course PBs and one converted PB in the 400m freestyle.
