Deepings Swimming Club is a small (approximately 150 swimmers) friendly and successful club. The club celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2016, during which year the club had its most successful season, with swimmer representing the GB Team at the Junior European Championships in Hungary, and representing the club at National, Regional and County Championships along with other Open Meets, Galas and League events.

Deepings Swimming Club needs to raise £10,000 to replace the Electronic Timing Board. The current Timing Board is approximately 20 years old and is now obsolete and therefore the club is unable to obtain spares to fix it.

The Club will be taking part in a Channel Swim Challenge on the 2nd April 2017 at the Deepings Leisure Centre Swimming Pool. The Challenge will involve Club Swimmers completing the distance equivalent to swimming the English Channel and back. That is 2832 lengths of the 25 metre pool. All club swimmers will take part in the challenge from the youngest to the oldest assisting to cover the distance in under 5 hours.

The swimmers will be obtaining sponsorship for taking part and assisting in achieving the challenge. All money raised will be put towards the total required to replace the timing board.

There is also a Crowdfunding page set up where people can donate towards helping the club raise the required amount. The funding page can be found at

The club are hoping to raise the required funds in time to have the Timing Board installed for the clubs annual Rob Welbourn Open Meet in November 2017

If you can help the club to reach their target please contact the club through their website or donate at the above Crowdfunding Page. All help would be greatly appreciated.
