Only two of our experienced swimmers travelled to Crawley to swim in their long course open meet. But this was an excellent opportunity for the boys to swim long course and gave them valuable experience, before the Midland Championships in June. Both swimmers performed extremely well, swimming to their current personal best times in most events. Marcus did however produce an excellent Long Course PB in the 400m IM & Daniel a New Long Course PB in 50m Freestyle, which goes to shows training must be going well!

Event 25: 200m Ind. Medley, 5th Samara McKnight 02:42.75 PB 50m Fly split 37.02 PB
Our Congratulating must go to Samara who was our only girl swimmer to be out and about over the weekend; on Sunday she traveled to Rugby to swim the 200m IM short course. She had an outstanding swim where she produced a 2 seconds PB and further more producing an excellent 50m fly split taking over a second off her current PB. I’m told she also won a third place medal in the under 13 age group for her efforts, excellent news well done.
