Over the weekend 12 year old Chris Barrett travelled to Peterborough to attend their Licensed Open Meet ... and didn’t he do well! He produced some outstanding swims to achieve 4 new PBs.
Swimming to his PB he had an excellent swim in the 200m Butterfly to win his age group. Prior to swimming at COPS Chris had only attempted 400m IM in competition three times but his exceptional swim produced not only an excellent PB but a new MQT in this event too.
At the County Championships he achieved his Midland Qualifying Times in the 400m Freestyle but his 5 second PB at Peterborough will stand him in good stead at Midland District Championships in June. His outstanding weekend achievements now give him a total of 7 MQTs to date I believe!
